Greg Would Want You To Play a Game

To mark a year since the tragic loss of Chaosium founder Greg Stafford, Chaosium has released free scenarios for their main game lines. The Lightless Beacon, a scenario for Call of Cthulhu written by Leigh Carr and Lynne Hardy. It comes with four pregenerated investigators and can be played in about an hour. The Lightless Beacon can be downloaded here.

Greg Stafford was the inspirational fire behind Chaosium, and had a wide-sweeping influence over tabletop gaming as a whole. If you’ve played an RPG in the past few decades, odds are he influenced it or someone who took part in creating it. Between now and Oct. 31st, play one of Greg’s games. Or, just play any game at all. Get someone new into gaming. Reconnect with an old friend over a game. Gone is not forgotten
