Before the investigators headed to Nova Scotia, they had to go to pick up the mask that they had left with Professor Henry Jones the day before, get their photos of the artifacts taken from the Ju Ju House, then get their tickets from Carlton Ramsey. They decided to pick up the mask first. In getting to the professor’s office, they found the door locked and the lights off inside. His assistant Miriam saw the investigators and the door and informed them that the professor had been taken to the hospital, apparently in a coma. She further informed them that Prof. Greyson in the Archaeology department had a box of things for them.

When they got to Prof. Greyson’s office, there was no response to their knocking. They went in to find a man, apparently the professor, sitting at the desk. He had the mask on and was twitching, the smell of feces filling the room. Violet rushes forward and immediately takes the mask off. Greyson was sweating, his eyes rolled back in his head. Curtis tried slapping him back to cognizance, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Lillian ran out to find Miriam.

They got him down on the ground. Lydia could hear him muttering “Cthulhu” and “They all come through their messenger. He comes, he comes…”

Miriam comes into assist them, the doctors on their way. They get him as stabilized as possible and to the hospital. Not being of any other assistance, they go to pick up the photos. When they get them, all the pictures of the items are blurry with the rest of the area around the items being clear. The developer apologized profusely, not knowing any reason why this would happen. They take the photos anyway.

They go to Carlton’s office to get their travel stuff taken care off. His assistant Milla sorts them out with their travel tickets, itinerary, and money. She also handled the registration of their guns while in the U.K.

They get to Saint John’s and their hotel, where there is a Newfoundland puppy that restores two points of Sanity. (House rule: playing with puppies restores SAN) . The next day they get on the dirigible to London, arriving two days later.

They land in London on a particularly cold and foggy day. They get to their hotel in Kensington, and immediately start looking for clue trails. They recall Elias’ editor in NYC mentioning Mickey Malone, the editor of the U.K. paper The Scoop, and him being a possible lead. They also found mention of Elias visiting the Penhew Foundation in London that funded the expedition. They have the concierge ring up the Foundation, and Violet charms their way into an appointment the next day at 2pm.

The do a walkabout in chilly London and find a copy of the Scoop to look over. It’s not a complete rag, but it’s also no New York Times. They find a pub and discover Imperial pints. They have what could be one of the final good times they have together…

hit a pub where there are actual pints.
